Content and copyright policy

Last updated: October 2026

1. Content covered

This policy applies to content that users upload or publish on Xtalvi: receipt photos attached to expenses (visible to the participants of a shared expense or space), comments and names of expenses, folders, piggy banks and shared spaces, images sent to the chat assistant, and reviews published on this website.

Each user is responsible for the content they upload and must hold the necessary rights to it. Uploading illegal content, content that infringes third-party intellectual or industrial property rights, or content containing third parties' personal data without a legal basis is prohibited.

2. How to report illegal or infringing content

If you believe content hosted on Xtalvi is illegal or infringes your copyright or other rights, send us a notice at polmonleonvives@gmail.com with the subject "Content notice".

The notice must include: (a) your name, postal address, phone number and email; (b) identification of the work or right you believe is infringed; (c) identification of the content and where it is located (URL, shared space name or a description sufficient to locate it); (d) an explanation of why you believe the content is illegal or infringing; (e) a statement that you are acting in good faith and that the information is accurate and, for copyright, that you are the owner or authorised to act on the owner's behalf, under penalty of perjury; and (f) your physical or electronic signature.

These requirements follow Article 16 of Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 (Digital Services Act) and section 512(c)(3) of the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).

3. What we do when we receive a notice

We acknowledge receipt, review the notice diligently and, where appropriate, remove or disable access to the content. We inform the user who uploaded it of the decision, the reasons for it and how they can respond. If the notice is incomplete, we may ask you for the missing information.

4. Counter-notice

If your content was removed and you believe this was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the same email including: your name, postal address, phone number and email; identification of the removed content and where it was; a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief it was removed by mistake or misidentification; your consent to the competent jurisdiction; and your physical or electronic signature.

If the counter-notice is valid, we may restore the content unless the person who filed the original notice informs us that they have started legal proceedings.

5. Repeat infringers

We may suspend or terminate the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe third-party rights or this policy.

6. Abusive notices

Sending false or bad-faith notices or counter-notices may give rise to legal liability. We may stop processing notices from anyone who frequently submits manifestly unfounded notices.
